Does anyone know were to find a cheap lower? I'm thinking about selling my bushmaster complete rifle and building one. I see the plum crazy lowers and was thinking about it but its like 140 shipped plus nics. Not sure if its worth it. I might be better of buying a striped and assembling right? Does anyone local places have them or other lowers? Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated.

Check out Palmetto State Armory... There's a coupon code on AR15.com for $10 off their branded lowers. 69.99 plus shipping isn't a bad deal. A bunch of people over there has them, and say they fit just as well as a more expensive brand name. Mine should be at TJ's in a few days.

So 35 for transfer 15 shipping. Plus with plum crazy wouldn't you have to get the stock pinned and that would cosy money too.

If you get any stripped it won't come with a stock, pinned or otherwise. But you could always get an A2 stock or another non-collapsible version.

 

If you're looking at complete lowers then yes.

Huh? Why wouldnt you need to have the stock pinned? It looks like its a normal 6 pos collapsable to me, which to be Jersey legal needs to be pinned.

Alowerlevel correct that is what I meant. Papercut if you don't mind me asking how much did you spend total for the lower upper and lower parts kit?also what are the specs of it. I was hoping a local shop might have lowers in stock but I guess not.

You're up on Wayne, so i'm thinking Arms N Ammo is out of the way for you? PK90 has a bunch of lowers (stripped and complete), uppers and complete ARs in stock.

 

Lower parts kits start at around $40, and go up to roughly $60 for standard kits. If you want upgraded triggers, certainly the price will go up from there. I'd look to spend about the $60 for the better LPKs.

Yea arms and ammo is out of the way for me. is your rifle a 16inch? I bassically want a20 inch.

I've got a 14.5" + a pinned/welded >1.5" compensator to put me slightly over the minimum legal length of 16. Just posted pics and a parts list over on the AR pics thread.
