I'm glad the few people that got this are happy with it, after the issues everyone was having. I prefer the non strobe to the strobe model myself.

I got mine. It definitely is the older model. I prefer the battery door on the newer model - it's much easier/simpler to open/close.

 

I can see a difference brightness-wise. If you're shining it at a wall you do see some difference in brightness, however the real kicker is when you're shining it on an object that semi-reflects close by. I was getting a LOT more glare when shining it on an object close by from my TLR-1s.
