?? 16" Carbine or 16" Middy ??

[YWHIC 18]

I have my 14.5" BCM Middy (with pinned/welded brake).. works great..

 

I tripped over these AArms Uppers for like $450-480

 

Specs:

Spikes (or Aero) A3 Upper

16" 4150 CMV 1/7 CL

Spikes BCG

Standard FSB

Delta-Pack and Handguard..

 

then they got similar "spec'd" uppers listed with low-pro GB's for cheaper..

 

Spikes (or Aero) A3 Upper

Spikes LE 16" 1/7 CL/MP/HP

Spikes BCG

Low-Pro Gas Block

 

looks like pretty much an entire Spikes 'build'...

 

with *optional delta-pack and option to lose the BCG for like $110 less...

 

Should I go cheaper (with low-pro) and just buy a YHM or Troy rail from them and have them do it all??

 

There prices are almost in-line and they are semi-local to me..

 

I heard the 16" Middy may be a better choice as its less wear-tear on the rifle??

 

Thoughts on 16" Middy vs. the 16" Carbine?? (I'm still deciding on the handguard option)

Middy. Especially for the 16". Looks better, and supposedly has softer recoil. Coolest is 14.5" middies... those are nice.
