Saiga 12 Complete With Photos

Recommended Posts

Anthony, anything I can do with the trigger on my Saiga-12 to make it feel like the trigger on my converted Saiga 7.62?

Seems like the trigger group needs to be moved foward to use the Tapco stuff and I can't fo that without a pistol grip which NJ won't allow.

no.. you will not achieve that smoothness due to the excessive amount of linkage within the fire control group.. but you could probably polish the hell out of it just go a little at a time.. if the internals are as smooth as they can be it will make the most of what you have..

Yes. You can install the Tapco FCG on the Saiga 12 and then use a Monsterman AK grip. Technically it is not a pistol grip but it sure does look like an abomination.

I'm not sure that would give you as much control as the standard stock or a regular pistol grip. Being able to wrap your thumb around the factory stock probably gives you more stability and control than just holding the stock with your four fingers.

That being said.....it's a shotgun. You're not trying to shoot sub-MOA with a Saiga 12, you're trying to throw lead in a general direction. I'd just deal with the trigger as is.
