Ar Or Sig 556

Started piecing my list together to build a lefty ar, and in one way or another i came across the Sig 556 just curious on the forums input on this rifle compared to a standard ar

AR and Sig 516 is more of a direct comparison. 556 is like an AR with an AK operating system. I think it would be XCR, 556, and ACR that would be closely compared to

Don't get a lefty AR, get an ambi AR. You'll thank me later. And go with the AR.

I looked at both and went with an ar. The 556 set up with the folding stock is nice but really is frowned upon in nj. I went with a smith and Wesson m&p-15 orc

Get the AR. I held the sig at meltzers and just wasn't all that impressed with the quality. Of course I didn't shoot it so who knows. I think the AR is a better because you can swap out parts and customize the way you want it.

Awhile ago I was debating between a SIG and an MSAR but I ended up getting an Ak in 5.45. What i'm trying to say is go out and hold and test fire a bunch of rifles, you'll be surprised what you instantly gravitate towards when it's really in your hands.

there are a lot of 223 guns out there.. I took an AR because of the abundance of parts and ability to do what I need it to do.. I can have a short run and gun upper.. and then a longer range upper and swap as needed.. it is a decent do all platform that allows for simple easy changes.. granted that is only part of teh equation.. but it is what did it for me..
