New guy from Gloucester County

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, I am new to shooting and got my FID card a few months after I turned 18. Currently I am learning on a .22 but am looking into clay shooting and larger caliber rifles down the road. Unfortunatly I cannot buy handguns yet but my time for that will come later on.

Yes sir, I am! I was born and raised here in NJ, but then spent much of my teens, college years, and a chunk of my professional life in free States. However, the economic shift in the US brought me back to NJ when my company gave me an offer I couldn't refuse to return... Glad to see you're a member at SJSC.

Yes, I thought SJSC was the best ranges I found when I started looking around. The only thing I can't do there is shoot clays but I am told they are working on that along with opening up a pro-shop there at the range. As soon as I am done with college I am going to start looking for work in different states. Currently I am looking at Maryland, Delaware, or Tennessee.

Tough to break into Federal Law Enforcement (FBI, etc.) right out of college, they usually want 3 or more years experience (My son is a AOJ major and went through that when he graduated from Rutgers). State might be easier. Good luck with whatever you decide.
