Passaic Cty Sherrif converted to M&P .45

AS I reported earlier this yr, rumor had it that the new sherrif wanted the M&P in .45

 

Well, the conversion is happening. My buddy gets to qualify, then carry his within the next few weeks.

 

No more G23 for Passaic Cty.

 

 

I liked my M&P 9mm for the short time I had it but just could not get past the broken striker at 300 rounds.

Did you have the old striker or the new striker? The new striker is chrome looking.

.45's are nice. I haven't shot the M&P in .45. I'll check it out next time I'm at Shore Shot and compare it to the G21.

Yep, there are a few guys that own their own Glocks. WOnder if they have to buy their own M&P's now too.

Its too light and the smallest change really impact my accuracy. I never noticed it until I started shooting other handguns. I shoot so much better with my sig

Interesting. I see more and more PD's switching to some flavor of .45. My buddy is an LEO in Edgewater. They switched from the 357Sig in a Glock 32 to the Glock 21 a couple of years ago.

 

I have an M&P45 that I picked up used. Can't say I shot that great with it. Need more practice with it.

 

 

Mikeyboy, did your M&P have the blued or raw steel firing pin? I broke the FP in my M&P40, but it had the old blued striker. I now have the latest Gen striker, which looks like a raw steel finish. I understand it's rated for something like 90,000 dry fires.

 

I hope I start seeing .45 overruns like I do on .40 ammo.
