What an idiot... Instead of worrying about law abiding citizens with CCW permits, he should be more worried about all the scum of the earth that lives in his city that attain guns on the black market, or illegaly, to murder other Newark residents. CCW permit holders from other states are of absolutely no harm to the residents of his craphole of a city.

This is old, and many of us gave it a thumbs down and made comments some time ago. Actually I posted this in the thread about the super bowl commercial that our comments and ratings were removed from also. At that time we still could on this one and I guess they didn't like us exercising our 1A rights and as a typical, they don't care about our rights.

In yesterday's Star Ledger one murderer got a 3 year sentence and another murderer received a 10 year sentence. They just keep turning the thugs loose. Why doesn't Booker give a damn about that?

If ploticans really gave a dam about our safety they would bring back public hangings.

Very simple the one that got 3 years voted for Booker, the 10 year voted for whoever ran against him. The 3 year will be out right before the next election.

Meh, anything from a chief is political, not necessarily how normal LEOs feel about a subject. Chiefs, while LEOs, serve at the pleasure of the mayor.

He used the phrase "common sense" three times, "sensible" twice and "rational" once, referred to HR 822 as "insane" and of course mentioned that his aim is "not to get rid of guns." Same tactic as Mayor Menino's mubled statement that "we both support the Second Amendment" in his Super Bowl commercial with Bloomberg, or Carolyn McCarthy referring to herself as a "gun safety advocate." Belittle your opposition and use meaningless catch phrases rather than engage in any rational discourse, that is their strategy. In any conversation or debate with these idiots they need to be called out on their lies.

States rights? States do not have rights, they have powers. Individuals have rights and they bestow certain powers upon the state and federal government. The government, both state and federal, can only act within the powers granted to it by the individuals, i.e., "the People". That's how the Constitution is setup. This whole concept of "states rights" is a fallacy.
