Driving to Bayonne Range, oh hello Staten Island?!

Don't forget to adhere to FOPA rules to the letter when all of a sudden you just realized that you are driving through Staten Island to head to the Bayonne pistol range to meet up with your friends. This could happen when following your GPS for instance....

Also take into consideration that NY has a track record of ignoring FOPA. While they've been spanked a few times, don't be surprised if they pull shenanigans again.

My GPS has tried to route me through Staten Island - it's ridiculous. Go through SI and pay 2 tolls? Forget it.

 

Go up the turnpike to the newark bay extension and take the bayonne exit (14c i think).

Personally I go 14A, but this was just a hypothetical post on "what-if" you come down with a case of zombieitus and start following your GPS like it is directions to fresh brains.

 

Wasn't really a meet, just getting together with a friend. I only went because he lives close to there, otherwise I frequent CJ.

My GPS has an avoid toll roads setting. It should have an avoid high crime area setting, too.

I used to live in Bayonne, take 14a usually faster, plus the bridge toll is crazy now I heard.
