Do you think it's legal n NJ? Let's say I want to use this as a first shell (non lethal) in HD shotgun.

Well , birdshot can be used too I guess, but still, just curious..........

That's interesting... Less than lethal beats explaining to the cops the perp with the hole in his chest, but again, this is NJ so anything is possible and they'll try to EFFF you any chance they get.

My opinion and my opinion only. If you're going to pick up a gun and point it at someone, you better be damn well ready to use it and understand that you have a very high chance of killing someone. If you're looking for "non-lethal" use something other than firearm.

Its legal ammo but, If you are firing a gun at someone with any kind of projectile you are using deadly force, and if justified, why would you want to use a non-lethal round?

I also wouldn't consider bird shot non-lethal at "in your home distances".

Why use it? Non-lethal rounds like this can STILL only be used in a deadly force situation. You're taking the chance of not being effective enough to stop the threat, while still limiting yourself to using the tool when your safety is being threatened. Live ammunition for home defense, no exceptions.
