Where to shoot 308 in NJ?

Can anyone suggest anywhere in NJ to shoot 308s? Private ranges would not be opened to non-members & PA is a bit far. Thanks.

308 at most outdoor ranges is fine.

 

Range 14 at Ft Dix is public.

You can purchase targets on location or bring your own.

I was looking for a link to Range 14 but couldn't find what I was looking for.

 

Membership cost per year? Guests Cost? Discounts to retired military and family?

It has been $60.00 a year, $30.00 for Mil and retired Mil, Active Police and $3.00 an hour to shoot. I believe I read they upped the hourly to $4.00 an hour ( I guess because of the new tables being installed?). Skeet and Trap were $3.00 a round with clays provided. A real bargain for the occasional shooter!

No you need to be a member or guest.

 

its $4 an hour and $4 per round of skeet.

 

I personally don't really like the place, but then again I'm accustomed to setting my own rules. I certainly cannot argue its value.

Yes, you have to be a member to shoot unless someone guests you on.

Part of where to shoot is knowing your home base. If your close enough to Fort Dix, then your close enough to Telco. They provide target stands, and have trap as well. I shoot all of my big bore battle rifles there.

I know you said PA is bit far, but if you're within an hour from Easton, PA theres Easton Fish and Game...well worth the drive.
