BlueLineFish 615 Posted May 25, 2012 I fixed it. Lol. Trying to get another month of gun buying. So steel next Sunday. Good
alec.mc 180 Posted May 26, 2012 Wait, disregard. That weekend is the speed on steel nationals, all weekend. You would of had to pre-register for the match a few weeks ago, sign up was 85$ per gun sorry bud! i think central jersey in jackson does a steel match on the first sunday
Pizza Bob 1,488 Posted May 26, 2012 You can always shoot USPSA at Shongum on Saturday, 6/
BlueLineFish 615 Posted May 26, 2012 Damn..maybe i will just go watch and get another sign off
alec.mc 180 Posted May 26, 2012 Damn..maybe i will just go watch and get another sign off Great idea, It will be going on all day friday - sunday i think. There will be some big name kick a** shooters there, so you'll get an idea on how its ' reallllly ' done.

I know the 2 day match should be the 1st and 2nd but thought it was over before the normal Sunday Steel match..

I think ?? only way to know for sure is when the calender comes out. I recall hearing friday and sat for the match, then sunday is for the Range officers. hd2000fxdl 422 Posted May 26, 2012 Damn..maybe i will just go watch and get another sign off Joe, while there are going to be some good shooters there, I'd rather shoot than watch, so if it's not just Friday and Saturday for the Comp and the normal Sunday Static steel match, then you might want to think about Steel at CJRPC or USPSA at Shongum. All I know is I should be at one of the other 2 if OB is out for the whole weekend for the comp.
BlueLineFish 615 Posted May 26, 2012 I really want to get my signoffs finished and until i do i want to do as much as possible at OB. I guess i will wait until the calendar comes out
hd2000fxdl 422 Posted May 26, 2012 Joe, you only need 5 and you do have 6 months to get them done. Don;t forget about the Friday night USPSA light on the 1st and 3rd ones of the month. Heck add PPC and you would be done in a few more weeks anyway.
Candide 0 Posted May 26, 2012 There were some spots left as of 2 days ago. Email John Soltez.
M4BGRINGO 139 Posted May 26, 2012 I thought the event was Friday and Saturday and Sunday was for helpers and RO's.
hd2000fxdl 422 Posted May 26, 2012 Well being OB isn't doing Steel on the 3rd, I guess it's a drive to CJRPC for their steel match, that's if I don't pick up a little overtime at work.
BlueLineFish 615 Posted May 26, 2012 Looks like I will have time for construction projects around the house
Heavyopp 167 Posted May 28, 2012 I'm going to go and watch and get a sign off while I'm there. My 12 year old son really wants to go see the "pros' in action. I'll be there for most of the day saturday hopefully.
Sivl32 27 Posted May 29, 2012 Really wish they would allow last minute sign in, learned late last week I have off friday.

NickC 23 Posted May 29, 2012 Elvis, you may be able to take my Friday 9am slot. The jury case I'm on looks like it'll go to Friday and I plan on asking John of I can shoot Sunday instead. I'll know for sure by tomorrow afternoon.

Heck add PPC and you would be done in a few more weeks anyway. Kinda off topic, but the sign offs I'm assuming are the times you have to spend at events to become a member correct? Also, does competing in an event count or can you only watch/help out?

Have yet to meet anyone that was sorry they participated, but have meet many that said they wish they didn't just observe..

I thought you could only observe which would drive me nuts.
NickC 23 Posted May 30, 2012 Really wish they would allow last minute sign in, learned late last week I have off friday. My Friday 9am spot is officially open and told Chris you were interested. So now you have no choice... You have to go $hit, somebody has to carry Alec's bag.

Have yet to meet anyone that was sorry they participated, but have meet many that said they wish they didn't just observe.. I was planning on going regardless of the sign off. If I can get one while I'm there I might as well. I was also planning on shooting skeet on Sunday morning but you guys got me wondering if they'll have it. Supposed to be the 1st and 3rd sundays I believe but from what your saying the ranges may be booked. I'll have to check and see if the calendar is posted yet. hd2000fxdl 422 Posted June 1, 2012 Not sure being I won't be able to make any of these this weekend. Now the skeet may be in jeopardy only due to the need for parking, other than that, the shotgun area is for shotguns only and no buck or slug in that area either. If you really want to know you might want to check with the person who runs that league and their contact info can be found in any of the news letters on the club website. ETA: I would tell you to just check the June calender, but no calender update as of yet in the OBRPC website.
