That weekend is the speed on steel nationals, all weekend.

You would of had to pre-register for the match a few weeks ago, sign up was 85$ per gun

Joe, while there are going to be some good shooters there, I'd rather shoot than watch, so if it's not just Friday and Saturday for the Comp and the normal Sunday Static steel match, then you might want to think about Steel at CJRPC or USPSA at Shongum. All I know is I should be at one of the other 2 if OB is out for the whole weekend for the comp.

Elvis, you may be able to take my Friday 9am slot. The jury case I'm on looks like it'll go to Friday and I plan on asking John of I can shoot Sunday instead. I'll know for sure by tomorrow afternoon.

Joe, you only need 5 and you do have 6 months to get them done. Don;t forget about the Friday night USPSA light on the 1st and 3rd ones of the month. Heck add PPC and you would be done in a few more weeks anyway.

Kinda off topic, but the sign offs I'm assuming are the times you have to spend at events

to become a member correct?

Also, does competing in an event count or can you only watch/help out?

You have to Observe 3 and participate in 2 is what I think the breakdown is, but most people just participate in 5. Have yet to meet anyone that was sorry they participated, but have meet many that said they wish they didn't just observe.. ;)

Thanks, if that's the case that's not bad. I thought you could only observe which would drive me nuts.

Really wish they would allow last minute sign in, learned late last week I have off friday.

My Friday 9am spot is officially open and told Chris you were interested.

So now you have no choice... You have to go :)

$hit, somebody has to carry Alec's bag.

I was planning on going regardless of the sign off. If I can get one while I'm there I might as well.

I was also planning on shooting skeet on Sunday morning but you guys got me wondering if they'll have it. Supposed to be the 1st and 3rd sundays I believe but from what your saying the ranges may be booked. I'll have to check and see if the calendar is posted yet.

Not sure being I won't be able to make any of these this weekend.

Now the skeet may be in jeopardy only due to the need for parking, other than that, the shotgun area is for shotguns only and no buck or slug in that area either. If you really want to know you might want to check with the person who runs that league and their contact info can be found in any of the news letters on the club website.

ETA: I would tell you to just check the June calender, but no calender update as of yet in the OBRPC website.

    • We never let then inside.  Last re-evaluation was 6-7 years ago, wife politely told him that he was welcome to look around the property and he could look in the windows. He saw two white resin chairs in the basement and told her that this constituted a finished basement. And everything in the basement is bare concrete/ cinder block, and mechanical systems. Nothing finished about it. Ultimately he relented and I'm sure that was a ploy to coerce us to allow him in
    • I use an Alien Gear cloak tuck (IWB) with my Shield.  Neoprene back - in the summer it does feel warm but doesn't rub or chafe.   https://aliengearholsters.com/ruger-lcp-iwb-holster.html Could also go with the shapeshift as it has multiple options - OWB/IWB, Appendix... https://aliengearholsters.com/ruger-lcp-shapeshift-modular-holster-system.html
    • The  12-1 compression ratio L88 is long gone. This is GM's updated version. it might be  pump gas 10-1 engine The L88 was a aluminum head  cast iron block engine with a nasty solid lifter cam. the  ZL1 was a all aluminum  12 or 13-1 compression ratio engine with the best forged internal parts at the time and had a even nastier solid lifter cam
    • I like my regular carry holster.  OWB leather with belt slots.  I've been carrying for over a year and it was comfortable and I hardly even noticed it.  I carry (usually) a Ruger LCP .380 - light, convenient, tiny. But...today I ended up taking it off an leaving it home after a few hours. I cut down a big maple tree a few days ago and I spent 3/4 of today loading and unloading firewood into the back of my truck and a trailer.  It was a warm day, I was dirty, tired, sweaty, and my holster was rubbing against my side.  The leather and exposed metal snap was no longer comfortable. I'm thinking about adding a layer of something to that part of the holster to soften the contact.  Anything insulating will make it worse.  I don't want a sweaty, hotter holster against my skin.  I'm imagining something thin, breathable, that won't absorb sweat, and softer than leather, metal snaps, and rivets.   But I have no idea what would work. I'm hoping somebody else has already figured this out and I can just do what they did. Any suggestions appreciated.
    • Check the primers on the ammo you didn't shoot yet. Are they fully seated? If the primer is not just below flush with the back of the case, the first hit can seat it better then the second hit ignites it.
