AR-15 kydex mag pouch for stubby PMAGs

Recommended Posts

I've got 5 of MidwestPX's stubby 15 rounder PMAGs (http://midwestpx.com/product_info.php?cPath=15_69&products_id=451) and I'm trying to find a reasonable kydex pouch I can use for training classes.

To this point I've only found BladeTech and Kaluban Cloak. Both are priced the same but the BladeTech ones seem to get somewhat sketchy reviews on Brownells as far as PMAG compatibility.

I emailed Kaluban Cloak directly to ask if they think their stuff would work. I have holsters from them already and love the product.

Anybody have anything else they actually use with these mags?

He does very simple Kydex mag holders for both pistols and AR's and AK's. The AR ones are $15 and I believe a flat $5 shipping (I got three for $50 all in). I also have his 1911 single stack mag holders. Very slick. Found him on Sigforum several years ago and he's still there moving product - which tells me people are satisfied with what he's making - I know I am.

It's not Kydex but you can take a look at Esstac shorty's or even the HSGI taco's and put a small block of wood in the bottom to limit the insertion.

They are intended to use with molle but you can get some belt adapters that hook up to the malice clips from Tactical Tailor or First Spear.

I actually just got the fast mags.... looks pretty good a bit tight but I guess it need to be break in..

The fast mag has two grooves the band can fit into. Move it to the lower one for less tension.

+1

Bob pointed me to this guy and I picked up 3 from him. They're very simple, but they get the job done much cheaper than real production ones. I only got them to use for USPSA Rifle stages.
