JamesC 2 Posted August 24, 2012 Hey all, I just got a special delivery from Dawson Precision. I don't have the setup to do sights replacement. Anyone know of a gunsmith that can do it up here in North Jersey?
John Fox 5 Posted August 24, 2012 There's one in Rahway.

Candide 0 Posted August 24, 2012 All you need is a file,a vise, and a hammer. Check youtube. Dawson has vids about it. Not really that hard.

Just having moved into this apt, I don't have any workshop space to set that bit up. Thanks though!

PM Me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk excuse the spelling Thanks very much for the offer - I'll take you up on it next time around. I ended up getting a referral to Lewis at Armament Gunsmithing in Hillside and I've already called him. Cheers though!
JamesC 2 Posted August 24, 2012 Before: I'm getting the APEX USB installed, some action polishing, and the Dawson Precision sights installed.

acaixguard 37 Posted August 28, 2012 Quick question, how hard is it to drift out the rear sights? I had no problem tapping out Glock sights. Just wondering if the M&P would be similar.

They can be in there pretty good, same with the front. It's doable though.
67gtonut 847 Posted August 28, 2012 The rear is easier then the front Remember the little disc and spring for the USB is under and if your not careful they will launch themselves across the room Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk excuse the spelling

I tried on my own without a rest or vice and it wasn't going well. So instead of trying to do the job without the right tools, I decided to bring in a Pro. Jayce 0 Posted August 30, 2012 I wanted my sights done by a pro. I brought mine to George at G&S Hunters/Paterson Gunsmithing. He does a really good job with sights.
