scope for CZ 452 American in .22LR ???

Recommended Posts

Really depends on what you plan to do with the rifle.

For a .22 bolt, I just used them for plinking and informal target shooting. I found the 3x9 scopes to be about the best compromise for close shots and out to 100 yds. Unless you are looking to do some bullseye shooting, 3x9 should be enough. I have had the Leupold 3-9x33 Rimfire EFR and the Nikon 3-9x40 Prostaff Rimfire. The Nikon is about half the cost and I felt a much better value than the Leupold. Nikon also offer a similar Prostaff with adjustable objective now. Haven't tried it but, sure it's another great choice.

I had a 3x9 and found it was too limiting in the rimfire bolt rifle. I have a Bushnell banner 6x24 (x40) with AO and mil-dot on my CZ. It works fine for rainy days at the indoor range at 15 yards, and outdoors at 100 yards the kids have fun shooting the clothespins that hold the targets up. I have it on see thru rings so they can also use the iron sites.
