chris327 30 Posted September 24, 2012 So I'm looking for a pistol safe for the closet of a bedroom. But i want it on the back wall of the closet, so i want it to not be deep so it doesn't stick far off the wall. also i want a door that opens down so there is not struggling with opening a door to the side. Biometric or digital no key safes. also looking for a 3 or more small quick access rifle safe that is small enough to go into a closet. same thing no key safe, biometric or digital. i cant find quite what i want. Homak makes a pistol box but the reviews are horrible. Would like something similar but better reviews. any suggestions?
TK421 2 Posted September 24, 2012 I have a 6" deep Guardall heavy duty in-wall safe that has a contact on it connected to a 24hr zone on my burg system. I had one wall in my MB closet framed with 2x6s. It is lag bolted in and you aren't getting it without a sawzall. I think I paid $275 for it (back in '95). ruger9 0 Posted September 24, 2012 Jumping on board here.... very interested in a IN-WALL safe... for rifles? I would love to get a big old Liberty safe, but have nowhere to put it... inside a closet, in the wall, would be perfect... wouldn't need to be huge, just hold 2-3 rifles a shotgun, a couple pistols, ammo... can anyone point me in the direction of such a thing? mattio41 0 Posted September 24, 2012 Not sure of what your exact requirements are, but I saw this the other day and thought it was interesting to mount on the wall behind my hanging clothes, so it would not be noticed, but give me quick access to a pistol. I also looking into building some kind of hiding space built into the wall, to put a shotgun, away from prying eyes, but with quick emergency access. But take a look here. http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2012/02/new-rapid-access-under-desk-handgun-safe-from-gunvault/
