The perfect example of the ignorant permise behind all gun control

Recommended Posts

In the state of Georgia it is illegal for someone to carry their concealed weapon into a church even if they have a CCW permit. So a criminal knows if they enter a church to harm people there is almost a zero chance that anyone in the congregation will be able to defend against their attack. GA state senator Donzella James blatantly exposed the failure of gun control to protect people by preventing them from protecting themselves. Thought it was worth sharing.

Yeah, but, it's a church. Don't worry, god will protect them from a shooter, I'm sure. Why would they need a gun?

Or, think of it this way. if a shooter kills the faithful, they go to heaven 50 years early. Win/Win right?

Better yet, don't waste time going to church. I work all damn week, Sunday morning I want to be in bed catching some Z's, not hootin' and hollerin' to the invisible man in the sky.

If I recall correctly, a pastor was actually fighting this law.

That's correct - the argument was that by prohibiting the 2nd amendment right in a church, they were infringing on the church's right to do as they please as granted in the 1st amendment...

Better yet, how about we continue to let government make silly laws because they don't "pertain" to you? I'm sure you're familiar with the phrase:

-First they came for the communist, but I was not one so I did not care. Then they came for the socialists, but I was not one so I did not care, then they came for the Jews, but I was not one so I did not care. When there was no one left they came for me....

I love the so called "tolerant" Atheists... "We're all equal, except those lousy Christians". You'll complain about a few laws from God but gladly support tens of thousands of man made laws. I'm amazed by the pettiness of some that are fighting for the same right "to keep and bear arms" that you'll bash those trying to protect the SAME Constitutional rights just because of Religion or some other difference. So your comment above is saying "screw those hypocritical Christians they don't have the right to carry on THEIR private property..."

Man oh man... if we stay divided like this, we'll never get anywhere and both you and I will lose our God given rights!

That aside, there is a Pastor fighting this in Ga after losing the case back in July. What I don't understand, this is private property so why couldn't he carry on "his" property? Kind of like me inviting people to my house then being told I can't carry. What's next, he won't be able to preach on certain subjects?

i think there are more than a few Christians on this board, myself among them. i can't think of a more childish remark than the one quoted above. i could go on and on but let's just leave it at this: how about we all respect each others beliefs?
