JonF 79 Posted November 14, 2012 There are gun "blue books" out there you can reference. I have one thats about 2 y/o out of date but would give a close enough valuation. While better to have the make/model, if its not totally obscure, you can often find pictures in said books next to the entries and ID it that way. You could always post a pic here and someone might ID it.

Parker 213 Posted November 14, 2012 I am looking to find out the value of an older Franchi 20 ga O/U, it has no model # on it that i can find. Any ideas on how to find out its value? If it's from the 60's it's probably the 'old' Falconet model. On the field grade models, the receivers came in two finishes, called "Ebony" or "Buckskin," and the Falconet had an aluminum receiver. Their target-grade skeet and trap shotguns had steel receivers. These were made in 12, 16 and 20 ga. Price? I dunno, I'd have to look at the Blue Book. You can browse around the Franchi forum and maybe get an answer there. Off the top of my head, these sell for $500 and up, depending on condition and gauge, but I've heard of people finding old ones in obscure shops and getting them for less. I used to use my uncle's steel trap gun on the Chesapeake for goose hunting back in the 60's and 70's. Go to my link and you can determine by the Franchi date codes when your O/U was made. https://workspaces.a...CbcT8oonBc8OLvw
njplinker 8 Posted November 15, 2012 Got a pic? You can always post a pic and description over on the shotgunworld forum and one of the gurus will probably know.
