Ruger 10/22 question

I need a question answered by someone who owns a 10/22.

 

Buying a Christmas present for my brother in law and I need to know if there is a weaver or picatinny rail that comes with the the 10/22.

 

Also what's the preference for this rifle when adding a scope, riser or no riser? Thanks in advance!!

Doesn't come with it but you can add it.

Got mine 2 weeks ago and it came with weaver rail and attachment screws

Check the model #. The last one I bought (a few years ago) didn't have a rail.

 

One thing to note: when adding a rail, put very little blue Loctite on the attachment screws. Too much will seep in and gum up the action. Don't ask me how I know this.

I bought one about a year ago, my friend got one about 6 months ago both came with weaver rails.

I just bought the cheap one on sale at dicks and so did a friend. They both had the rails in the box .

The scope you choose will depend on the need for a riser or high scope rings. One of my 10/22's has a scope with a 50mm front lense so I have a high scope base (aftermarket).

Might have some upgrades added to it, demand may have gone up also.
