Maybe little or no Saigas coming from Mother Russia

Recommended Posts

Saw this from a reply from Atlantic Firearms. Don't sell unless you really want to or just don't want one.

"There are no large numbers of Saigas coming in the US due to issues at the Russian factory it may be a long time before we see cheap & plentiful Saiga rifles and shotguns on the market"

and....

"Due to the unpredictable situation it is hard to know what will be available in Jan etc We are working hard with the Russians , Importers and Krebs to get more rifles to market but it is all up in the air at this point. The Russian factory was also going under a financial Chapter 11 style deal and has downsized their production in the last 6 -8 months all of this is a Perfect Storm of not getting many Saiga based firearms in the US. The factory can come out with all kinds of neat & new items but most of those are not aimed at the US market."

The bankruptcy was true but American gun sales carries their company. Something like 82% of products come here

I was just about to Post this. Ihzmash does IIRC between 83% and 85% of its business now as Exports for the civilian market

Eh believe it of you may. We've been hearing of izzys troubles for years. Plus with all.the saiga demand, they cant be doing too bad.

hell they just announced that they are looking to export 9mm Carbines and a 107 Variant to the US market..although i dont expect to see any movement on that till after they see which way the Newtown aftermath falls
