"It's not a sign of him being careless,"

If this lawyer can actually convince people of this, I want him as my lawyer. I'm pretty sure if the story he is telling is true, that is about the definition of being careless. Well, I guess maybe he was very careful about losing things...

This is the same cop who was photographed asleep in between shifts earlier this year. He just can't get past this run of seriously bad luck.

I am sure if one of us did that there would be no mercy from the media as was the case with this article. They would have used this to paint all gun owners as careless. Simply amazing...

What's the crime for indecent exposure? Does that classify as a sex crime? Not to blow this out of proportion but I seem to remember someone getting jammed up for taking a leak outside and it cause a lot more problems for them than you wold have expected.

"It's not a sign of him being careless," Alterman added. "It was an accident. Nobody intentionally loses a weapon. He was changing in and out of his duty uniform to his street clothes. He was transferring his weapon from his duty holster to an off-duty holster. And unfortunately he lost a weapon. He left it on the car or the truck. When he realized it was gone,"

Careless is to a person leaving a weapon on a vehicle and driving off as stupid is to lawyer tryig to say carelessness aint!

Now now. I was doing some thinking about this whole "careless not careless" thing, and realized, this lawyer might be right. It is possible it had nothing to do with carelessness. And here is my argument for that.

A handgun is a pretty important thing. It isn't something you just happen to forget about. You know what else is pretty important? Your pants. Had instead of him leaving the firearm, he had instead left his pants, I wouldn't call that careless. Say he forgot his pants, and went to the local pub around the corner. When getting out of his car to go inside, he realizes "oh crap! I have no pants on!" That isn't a case of carelessness. That is a case of being a moron.

So he wasn't careless. He is just a moron.

    • The  12-1 compression ratio L88 is long gone. This is GM's updated version. it might be  pump gas 10-1 engine The L88 was a aluminum head  cast iron block engine with a nasty solid lifter cam. the  ZL1 was a all aluminum  12 or 13-1 compression ratio engine with the best forged internal parts at the time and had a even nastier solid lifter cam
    • I like my regular carry holster.  OWB leather with belt slots.  I've been carrying for over a year and it was comfortable and I hardly even noticed it.  I carry (usually) a Ruger LCP .380 - light, convenient, tiny. But...today I ended up taking it off an leaving it home after a few hours. I cut down a big maple tree a few days ago and I spent 3/4 of today loading and unloading firewood into the back of my truck and a trailer.  It was a warm day, I was dirty, tired, sweaty, and my holster was rubbing against my side.  The leather and exposed metal snap was no longer comfortable. I'm thinking about adding a layer of something to that part of the holster to soften the contact.  Anything insulating will make it worse.  I don't want a sweaty, hotter holster against my skin.  I'm imagining something thin, breathable, that won't absorb sweat, and softer than leather, metal snaps, and rivets.   But I have no idea what would work. I'm hoping somebody else has already figured this out and I can just do what they did. Any suggestions appreciated.
    • Check the primers on the ammo you didn't shoot yet. Are they fully seated? If the primer is not just below flush with the back of the case, the first hit can seat it better then the second hit ignites it.
