Well, I had one thing left on my list of firearms. That last item was to re-furb my current outdated M4 AR. It has an M4 gas system which i find just too snappy. Today I saw an opportunity and jumped on it. I purchased:

 

14.5" BCM BFH M4 Barrel w/ Mid-Length Gas System

BCM Mid-Length Gas Tube

BCM .750 Low-Pro GB

It will all be mated to my existing BCM upper

 

Soon I will be removing:

 

14.5" Bushmaster Barrel w/ NJ legal cage brake

YHM bolt on FSB/GB with flip up BUIS

Troy MRF 7" Battle Rail

 

All goodies will be for sale shortly in the classified forum. Gotta get on that premium membership.

 

In the past month I've bought:

 

M1A SOCOM - $1750

3 G17 mags blocked to 15 - $30 a piece (reasonable I feel) = $90

2 M1A 10 round mags - $60 (also reasonable, given they are SA)

AR Parts above - $410

 

Ouch.

 

At least I can rest easy knowing if i need to sell later on I could!

It's a carbine length gas system. I wanted a mid-length. After shooting a mid-length, it's like apples and oranges...to me at least.

I was looking at that BCM mid-length as well, but i would prefer the standard mainly because of the $70 difference. To a casual shooter like me i don't think a hammer forged barrel is necessary, but who knows when they will be in stock again. Very tempting though because not many are out there in stock atm.

Its not just you, there is a difference, especially if you hand load.

I have an LMT BCG already. Basically, all I need is to decide on a rail. Trying to decide between a 12" Centurion C4 or 12" Troy MRF

Trying to stay away from proprietary barrel nut systems. If I went with a proprietary barrel nut system i think I'd probably go DD.
