Ruger11 4 Posted January 16, 2013 Are the AR .22cal look a likes going to be included in this ban? Or classified as an assault rifle? Like the M&P 15-.22 , Mossberg 715T, Colt M4 tactical .22 ??
dgstinner 11 Posted January 16, 2013 I think they'd be included unless they're specifically named as not being banned.

NicePants 58 Posted January 16, 2013 What ban are we specifically discussing here? Is NJ mulling over some AWB 2.0?
mikeyboyeee 66 Posted January 16, 2013 I havent heard of any ban. What are you talking about?
dgstinner 11 Posted January 16, 2013 I think he's assuming that AWB 2.0 (mentioned by the President during his speech today) will get passed by congress.
NicePants 58 Posted January 16, 2013 I doubt it.
Njgunowner 2 Posted January 16, 2013 I think people got surprised by how many Republicans voted for the crap in New York too... I was skeptical in the beginning but this crap isn't going to stop any time soon unless SCOTUS intervenes, and that could take years at the rate they do things. mcbethr 42 Posted January 16, 2013 I think NY legislators only make about $80K per year. So you pretty much have to have a second job - it's not that much different than NJ when it comes to cost of living. Federal Congress is different, those guys have to keep two separate homes. They don't have a full time job anymore. So Congressmen are far less likely to vote for something that could cost them their job and perks.
hd2000fxdl 422 Posted January 16, 2013 Probably, after all it's just cosmetic differences that put it in this category. He'll, a black spork with an extra tooth on it might fall into the,,, oooohhhhh, that's scary category soon. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
71ragtopgoat 23 Posted January 17, 2013 Being from Long Island I can tell you the the only difference between a republican and democrat on long island is the R or D after your name they both love to tax and spend. Gun rights went the way of the doo doo bird when all the WWII vets died off.
Cemeterys Gun Blob 165 Posted January 17, 2013 Are the AR .22cal look a likes going to be included in this ban? Or classified as an assault rifle? Like the M&P 15-.22 , Mossberg 715T, Colt M4 tactical .22 ?? Only rifle that is exempt is a .22 caliber lever gun, or the 1860 Spencer (which has a 7 round limit anyway).......
