Shawnmoore81 623 Posted February 5, 2013 Air rifles for small game. Must be 600fps .223 for coyote. You will be able to harvest coyote 12 months a year while you are hunting another game animal.
XDJohnTact 49 Posted February 5, 2013 I preface this by saying I am not a hunter but I did not know you could hunt with either an air rifle or rifle (.223) in Jersey? Is this all new? If you can use a .223 for coyote, does this mean we can hunt with an AR? If so, that would make it a hunting rifle, no?
dajonga 397 Posted February 5, 2013 And, can we shoot .223 at WMA training areas?

Metalflames 0 Posted February 5, 2013 Is that a minimum of 600fps or a mandatory?
Shortfuse 39 Posted February 5, 2013 Is that only .223 or any centerfire like 22-

BillC. 26 Posted February 6, 2013 Any rifle legal for groundhog should be ok. We use AR's for groundhog now so no problem, just don't have more then 5 rounds in the mag. 10/15 rnd mags are ok and do not need to be blocked. (that 3 shot thing is for waterfowl hunting) Airgun hunting, very cool. Now we will start to see higher end airguns taken seriously by local gun shops. (gamo ain't one) Airguns are great for small game. Now lets get Big Bore airguns for deer legal.
