AverageJoe 95 Posted February 16, 2013 A bit of a step up from the Lee Turret, huh? C LOL, just a tad...the turret is still a great set up and I will prob still keep it for the time being...but the Dillon is like reloader's porn, truly is amazing. The Lee is set up for 9mm, the Dillon is set for 10mm...up next are .223 once I get everything more situated.

BullzeyeNJ 104 Posted February 17, 2013 Very nice. You are in good hands with Dillon. The XL650 is a complete setup for loading lots of quality ammo in a short period of time.

Sig226GuyNJ 128 Posted February 17, 2013 Nice! Got an email on Friday saying mine is shipped from Dillon. But the case feeder is still on backorder. I can just feed the cases by hand in the meantime, correct?

I can just feed the cases by hand in the meantime, correct? Yes. you can handfeed. The case feeder is where the speed is though. With that being said, its better to go slow and hand feed if you are new to progressive presses. This way you can take your time and watch everything and really understand what happens. AverageJoe 95 Posted February 19, 2013 So a quick little update...the press is amazing...but wow setting up a progressive press can have its challenges...theres a lot going on at once. Hit a couple of snags along the way but finally have everything all squared away. One more little thing to take care of...I noticed I would get some powder on the powder bar that slides back and forth..called up Dillon, explained whats happening and they're sending me a thicker spacer...they seriously have to have the best/nicest customer service ever. Another minute on the phone and they just might of asked if I wanted to grab dinner lol. Tip for anyone setting up a press...after you have it set up, check over everything...once you do that, check it again...with everything going on at once, you can never be to careful.
