At a local match it wouldn't be an issue for the most part, but a higher level match, it would need to fit in the box and I really can't imagine a 10 round mag being too long but would have to see the gun with the mag installed just because you said it's a custom and not sure what it really is.

Same size as all the other 1911 (a Wilson Tactical Elite).

Harry, there's a box for L10? I thought that only applied to single stack and production? There is a mag gauge but, I think that only applies to limited, not L10.

Please correct me if I'm wrong as I really don't know wtf I'm talking about. I just picked that up from other threads.

Well I'll actually have to look that up but I do remember there is a max mag length.

So there is still a mag length limit in L10. Thanks, Harry.

OP, those CMC mags shoulx be fine in L10. I have seen others using them, actually considering them myself.

I never tried the CMC mags - I have Tripp 10 round 1911 mags - not sure exactly where the measurement is taken - but it is about 6 inches...I wouldn't think they wouldn't be any longer then a 10 round CMC...What do you think Guys - will I be OK (and it will be many, many years before I go to a higher match - I am just talking at the local match level)? (BTW, the tripp 10 rounders work way beter than Wilson 10 rounders).

Great thanks.....As an aside: for the 8 rounders 45s Wilson and tripp are about par; I only bought one 10 round Wilson and didn't work too well (guess I should send it back), so I tried the 10 round 45 tripps and they hum - not one problem.... have 3 - going to but another 3 now that I will shoot the limited 10.

Feeding and whatnot, I'd call them a draw in .45. However I've seen a few of the welded on nubs that prevent over insertion on the Wilsons break the weld and come off at a bad moment. They cost enough even if it isn't a bad moment, it shouldn't happen. Cmc and Tripp don't do that.
