Finally had some range time and threw some .223 at paper... Was a good day at GFH....

 

Then I come home to good news of vetos! Real good!

 

Now time to wipe the brow, take a deep breath and sigh.., park my butt on the floor to reload the mags with remote nearby and faithful terrier supervising.

Not sure.... Started digging into an old stash and found 7 boxes of it. All like brand new. Pre 2000...

 

Rest I have are all Winchester now... Circa roughly 2001 when I stocked up after 911... Finally digging into that now.... Got another 1000 or so of that next...

Wow... For sure. I think those in my photo are from that era when I had my preban Colt AR-15.... Can't believe I found them packed deep in my basement storage.

Was looking for something else and they turned up in a 50 cal ammo can..

I'm not paying $7 for .223. I guess it is varmint ammo, and that does cost more. I can't believe it cost that much in 2001, though, especially UMC.

 

I was paying $280 out the door for XM193, PMC, and Prvi a year ago. And it will get back down under $300 unless things get worse. Same story 2007-2010.
