I think your forearm might not clear your sidesaddle for a full operation of the action. Other than that, looks good.

I function checked it and it operates as it should. I still might trimm off a bit

Good deal. Did you actually load it up with dummies and check the feeding and ejection or did you just rack it a few times to see if it cleared? I am asking because I ran into this problem once, looked good until I got rounds in it, then my ejection and feeding went to crap. While the action opened enough to clear the ejection port, it did not move all the way to the rear and engage the ejector properly.

 

Interesting stock. Why did you ask for that particular custom configuration? Reminds me of a "Mare's Leg".

Would it not be more comfortable to trim the stock down into more of a pistol grip?

Cycled with actual rounds. Wanted something different from a pistol grip. Going for more of a birds head grip.

Nice. I like the stock. You can rest on you hip if you wanted to just like Rossi Ranch Hand. Been very tempted to do a cut down stock like that on one of my bolt action shotguns.
