EX Carnival man 223 Posted May 30, 2014 I have one more permit to burn. I can't decide on which one in 9mm. Any PPS or XDS owners please post pro's and cons
gunguy1960 2 Posted May 31, 2014 Xd design has been around longer, while I didnt like xds in 45, I think 9 would be a nice gun. If you go with pps I believe I have a holster you can have for free.
Blake 50 Posted May 31, 2014 I was all set to buy an xds45 based on the specs. Then I handled/shot one and did not care for it one bit. The grip was not comfortable for me and the texturing on the sides was very aggressive. I dont have any experience with the pps. My gf just bought a shield that I really like. wink-_-wink 1 Posted May 31, 2014 I was torn between XDs and M&P9c I did not like the way the xds felt in my hands. Like Blake, I didnt care for the grip and it jsut wasn't a comfortable fit for me. I went with the M&P9c *side note, I do love the XDm series from springfield I just didn't care for the s series
mikeyboyeee 66 Posted May 31, 2014 Love my xds 45. Tack driver for me after some trigger work. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
EX Carnival man 223 Posted June 5, 2014 I made the choice tonight. In went to a shop that had both. I went with the XDS. The reason was how great it felt in my hand. The PPS and my middle finger under the trigger guard didn't feel right. The XDS Just felt great in my hand. The red front fiber optic sight on the XDS gives a great sight picture. I also bought the last two 9 round extended mags they had in stock. Now if I can only get time off from work to shoot it. Thanks for all your feed back. ogfarmer 138 Posted June 5, 2014 You should order Pierce Grip Extensions for the flush magazine. It gives a little bit more real estate on the grip without feeling blocky like the extended mag. http://www.pearcegrip.com/Products/Springfield%20Armory/PG-XDS Can also order on Amazon and Talon Grips for the grip, pierce extension and the extended magazines, most people prefer the rubberized over the grit, http://talongungrips.com/grips/springfield/xds.html I just added both these and now my XDs is much better, I had a Pachmayr sleeve but it kept riding up or down and messing with the grip safety or the magazine insert. I have t look into that. I put the Pierce +2 on my G26. it made a great change on the grip when I go to draw.
