A great venue to get your feet wet with an actual IDPA match is the Somerset Match (SCFGPA) on Sunday, 9/21. Stu may have mentioned this during the class - I'm just reinforcing it. Put what you learned to good use. This match is indoors, so not weather dependent. Consists of four stages with a round count that generally runs between 60 - 72. There is a new shooter briefing before the match that you must attend (get there early) , which serves as a nice refresher to what Stu taught you.

 

Because of the size of the venue, the number of participants is limited and you must pre-register here...

BTW - entry fee is $10, which includes 2 slices of pizza. No need to be a member of SCFGPA. Since this would be your first match, no concealment garment is required, nor membership in IDPA - both those will be required for subsequent matches.

I'll second Pizza Bob's recommendation.  It's a very well run match and a perfect opportunity for beginners.
