RichP 115 Posted February 29, 2016 Anybody know if RTSP will have a match in March? Trying to plan my weekends...
twong11219 0 Posted March 7, 2016 Not that I know of. Considering RTSP pulled the USPSA page of their website, it may not happen again. Don't know. Just assuming considering what happened for February and the web page removal.
RichP 115 Posted March 7, 2016 Hmmm. I looked at their website under "Competitive Shooting", and it says that they host both USPSA and IDPA matches every month. The links to IDPA and USPSA websites seem to have been disabled. Oh well. Was nice while it lasted.
Vlad G 345 Posted March 7, 2016 What happened in February?
mikeyjones 88 Posted March 7, 2016 I was talking to a few of the guys last week at Shongum and they mentioned that RTSP shut down USPSA for the foreseeable future. They mentioned that it closes down of their ranges for a long time, so maybe lost revenue?
RichP 115 Posted March 8, 2016 What happened in February? Match was canceled last minute, actually it was about 6:30PM day of. Lots of angry shooters. so maybe lost revenue? Not sure it can be lost revenue, but maybe increased costs? The range closes at 6PM on Sundays, and USPSA started after 6.
Austin111 6 Posted March 8, 2016 I was there in February and was certainly disappointed. But I am an OPTIMIST by nature and in this situation…..I’m optimistic ! I competed in 10 USPSA Matches at RTSP and improved considerably from a novice to ‘soon-to-be” winner (I’m an optimist, not too humble though). Every time I stepped in the door of RTSP on a Sunday Night, I knew we were going to have a great match, with great stages, great comradely, in a great “all-seasoned” environment where safety is paramount. This was all courtesy of RTSP and our USPSA Match Director (of course the Staff and dedicated competitors/volunteers). Enormous amount of time and resources are dedicated to the success of these USPSA matches (at every location) and I am fortunate for the experience. I’d like to use this thread to let the Organizers (RTSP and Aaron) know that they did a great job and their efforts were appreciated. I want USPSA back at RTSP and if there is anything I can do, you have my time, my sweat and any resource at my disposal to make it happen. Charlie Mike 0 Posted March 9, 2016 Probably better off. Unless they want to spend a few bucks. Having to use your own tape because they did not have any and having to make USPSA tagrgets out of IDPA targets is not what this sport needs. And lets not even get started on how you get the range later and later every time and then have to reclean the floors because they are too slippery. If you are going to do it, do it right. brucin 923 Posted March 10, 2016 Very disappointed this has ended. I have been unable to make the last 3 matches due to back problems and was hoping to do the March match. I will have to try one of the local outdoor matches once the weather warms up. Does anyone know if I will be frowned upon for leaving before a match is completed? I usually can do 3 stages maybe 4 but my back won't let me compete for much more than that.

But dont try to shoot all the stages and then leave without helping to break everything down.

No I don't do that, I try to arrive early enough to help set up since I know I can't make the whole match. I have had 2 series of injections that have helped quite a bit but I will not know how I will feel till after I shoot a match for a while.
