P2P process on Trenton's end?

Recommended Posts

In trying to find out what "Trenton" has to do on their end for pistol permits when we have to go through a SP Barracks. Iv'e spent the past two days calling them, googling and talking with troopers where I applied and no one really has the same idea or any kind of real answer.

The last call to Trenton, after being bounced around, I was told "all they do is 212A and fingerprints".

That's the only thing close to an answer I got.

1.  receive paperwork from local barracks

2.  throw in basket on desk

3   continue work out schedule in gym

4.  swim in the pool, laps not required

5   wrestle each other to stay in shape

6.  wonder what all that paperwork in the basket is

7.  continue steps 1 through 6 for a couple months

8   check with supervision to see if they waited long enough to start process

9   send back paperwork to sit in local barracks for another 2 weeks or so before you are called to pick it up.

This is not a joke

The Colonel needs to "sign off" on them. I highly doubt he hand signs each one of them as the signature on mine looked like a precanned image of his signature.

A friend of mine got his FID and P2P from the Pemberton PD in 2 weeks so yes, it can be done. Local PD's have their chief sign them.

What pisses me off about this crap is that the legislators, local PDs, NJSP will create more red tape for businesses to deal with to make them accountable for anything that goes wrong with some filing, record keeping task or other type of documentation or compliance non-sense.  But when it comes to these organizations, there is no way to get to the bottom of who is responsible for screwing us over.

It's a shame there's no recourse.  It would be nice to require a township's vote to authorize new hires on local PD's or a voters approval for how much overtime is permitted for the year.  Or something similar with NJSP budgets.   Not cooperating with us?  You get no money.

The "news" is about as anti-2A, socialist loving group of people you could imagine.  They probably wouldn't put anything related to gun owners getting screwed on a news broadcast.

They walk in lock step with The Dem's 4th Reich.
