mikeyjones 88 Posted April 26, 2016 I need to change the sight on one of my 1911s and its staked in with a roll pin. Figures that all of my punches are too big. So does anyone have a 1/32" roll pin punch I could borrow for a day? Sent from my Z812 using Tapatalk

PK90 3,573 Posted April 26, 2016 Damn. I've never seen one that small. Even McMaster-Carr doesn't carry anything smaller than 1/16".
alec.mc 180 Posted April 26, 2016 you might be able to use a 1/32 drill bit in a pinch, you're probably more likely to have that in your tool box.
Mr.Stu 1,930 Posted April 26, 2016 I definitely have a flat punch that size. Let me check my roll pin punches tonight.
mikeyjones 88 Posted April 26, 2016 Doesn't need to be a roll pin punch. Not reinstalling the pin Sent from my Z812 using Tapatalk
Heavyopp 167 Posted April 27, 2016 I checked my sets -- smallest I have is 1/16 roll pin punches I vote to try the drill bit like Alec suggested
mikeyjones 88 Posted April 27, 2016 None of my normal drill bit sets had a 1/32" bit. Luckily however, my grandfather was a machinist and gave me a bunch of his handtools and lathe attachments. Found some 1/32" bits in there. Was able to get the old sight off and the new one on (really tight fit)
