And just a breaking point into higher end 1911's. Dan Wesson has an overwhelming line up of gorgeous handguns but im at a loss. Pm-9 seems great for this purpose but just a few dollars more is Dan Wesson Valor seems to be the companies benchmark. While i rather a full size valor, or vbob in .45, can anyone comment between the two of these guns? And then the specialist, its nice but i dont foresee my self using that rail as i still dont use anything on the rail of my m&p9, but its still a gorgeous pistol. i want to keep it 9mm because thats what i have a lot of,. louu 399 Posted May 4, 2016 If you must have stainless get this http://www.springfield-armory.com/products/1911-range-officer-9mm/#PI9122LP If your okay with a black gun get the 9mm Range Officer it's $705 right now. Use the money you saved for good quality magazines, holster, mag pouches and a shit ton of ammo.
fatty 241 Posted May 4, 2016 Of those choices and your use - I would go with the valor without a doubt. The valor is REALLY nice. I hear the 9mm version shoots like butter In 45acp, I went with a stainless TRP.
JimmyAGR 54 Posted May 4, 2016 I have three Valor's so that will tell you which I would go with. I like the clean look over the others. I don't like front serrations of a rail on a 1911, but that is just my taste. My Valor's all shoot as good as my Ed Brown and for a lot less.... But then again all of them can out shoot me. Barms 98 Posted May 5, 2016 I'm sorry to hijack this thread. Does anybody know who else makes the matte stainless 1911? I think I saw one a long time ago Renington? If in 9mm then great. But any matte i would look at.
