Thinking ruger, but have one rifle in 7 rem mag. Is 6.5 jus better?

For what?  Targets only, the 6.5CM is a better choice.  Less powder, less recoil, longer barrel life.

Add medium game hunting to the mix then the 7MM deserves consideration.

So need to know what the main usage is.

I do it with 300 win mag sometimes.  However I do have a 6.5x47L, 6mmAR and will probably do my next bolt in 6x47l.
