NJ Hunting License

I've never been hunting , but could see myself giving it a shot soon. Also thru my business I meet several people who have invited me to private property to go target shooting. One customer of mine lives out in Millstone , where his family owns a animal skin and fur farm. He has told me several times to bring my handgun out to his land to join him in shooting. I was curious if I needed to have my hunters permit to join him. He said in 10 yrs of shooting he has never had a problem , but I like to go about things the legal way. anyone have info on this subject thanks

if it is on private property, I do not see any issues, esp if going target shooting?

For hunting you need a Hunters safety course. Go to NJ Fish and game website and they will have the info you need. As far as private property, go for it. Some towns have zoning maps for shooting. If you are in a farm in Millstone and they shoot on their property regularly, you should have no problem.
