Good old fashioned revolvers..

The older I get the more appreciation I develop for revolvers. Especially the older ones with that nice deep blue finish. The other thing attractive about them is the degree to which one can load for them. No need to cycle the slide, just enough to clear the barrel.

One of my "oldy but goody" revolvers is a S&W Mod. 14-3 38 SPL.

It was built as a target gun and can shoot the lights out !

I wish I was as good It feels really good in my hand

and is much lighter than the larger revolvers.

I think the Mod 14-3 was produced in the 70"s, does anyone know?

I like my wheel gun's, i always swap out what i bring to the range but my S&W 357 seems to always tag along..

Yep, There's nothing like a vintage 60's Colt Python or a S&W from the 70's.

For something so old and considered obsolete when Glocks appeared they have hung around. They actually are getting more popular since alot of states allow concealed carry. I love my 686!

Another vote for revolvers ! I also rotate the 357's every range trip, using the single action 22 with interchangable cylinder a lot and the model 29 is always fun to touch off a few rounds.

I've only purchased 1 auto in my life, that was a Colt Combat commander in 1975.

 

Everything else is a revolver.

 

I want dependability & reliability every-time I squeeze that trigger...
