DubbleRNR 1 Posted September 5, 2020 I completed the NRA Basic Pistol Course and would like to know what you recommend for the next level of pistol training. I live in north Jersey and am willing to travel. Thanks
Old Glock guy 1,127 Posted September 5, 2020 Check out Gun for Hire’s Holster Draw, then Urban Pistol 1 and 2.

DubbleRNR 1 Posted September 8, 2020 Well, I am a brand new pistol shooter so I am looking to develop a sound, foundational base of skills. I purchased my pistol for home defense.

Next Steps might be the best course to take now, as a brand new shooter the Urban Pistols might be little too advanced and not as useful right now (read their descriptions). Although it does cover a little bit of carry, the NRA Defensive Pistol seems the most balanced on the topic of personal defense.
acaixguard 37 Posted September 10, 2020 Keep an eye for Sights and Trigger classes just across the border in PA. https://sightsandtrigger.com Most likely you will have to travel outside NJ to find quality training. Not many of the top trainers come to NJ regularly.
