You're right. If it weren't for the wildcard you'd never see the Dolphins, Jets, or Bills in the playoffs. Oh, wait..

16 teams mean every team plays the same teams for 15 games, if they schedule it that way. Sounds fair no matter which division you're in. But of course, why have divisions. LOL

Wild card probably doubles interest in football. Even at my lowest interest in the NFL since forever I'm suddenly interested in teams I'd never watch.

Why not play an 18 game schedule, eliminate the wildcard and the playoff bye week.

The NFL has been pushing for an 18+ game schedule for a while. It's always been rejected by the NFLPA. The talk was to do away with the preseason games. They'd never reduce the number of games in the playoffs. Those games are $$$$.

Giants cut preseason by 50% this past year. Forcing them to be purchased is a joke in the first place. I agree have two preseason games then you can expand the regular season if that's necessary.

Yes pre-season ticket purchase is required.
