  1. If you are accessing with the Rocket.Chat app... From the drop down select "http://" and for address www.ak47club.com:3000 Then just login with njgf, sign in and you are set on your phone. App works pretty well.
  2. Chat is up. Installed a new server just for chat. Login with NJGF works. Upload new icon if you need to. Will add other logins later. For now have it on another domain I own. Link is in the menu bar or Click here. You can also download the new Rocket.Chat apps and links are there when you login.
  3. Ah... THAT may be the market... but totally not sure on legality. See, this is the type of accessory that I can see being demonized. "Makes it faster for bad guys to kill people."
  4. Don't they introduce this every year? Much like conservatives produce pro 2A bills? This I think would be a step too far.. I have ZERO doubts Senate republicans will not take this up... BUT if it did make it to the White House... Trump would sign it.
  5. Heh, well, it will let the bad guy know you are out of ammo. I am sure it will save some time for mag dumps... but I am trying to imagine what problem this solves.
  6. Just don't tell them it is for the Porn Convention/Awards show... although that may be better than telling them it is for guns?
  7. Did we get off the beaten path here? @jasonx No, you do not need to have your FID, BUT as a NJ resident, you should. More often than not, it may save headaches. There is a difference between being right and being effective. Having an FID card will make it more effective. Plus... it is an extra form of ID and really throws people off when you show it to them. lol. Along the same lines, while living in NJ, I generally said to carry a copy of the pistol permit, but never had to use it. As others mentioned, the FID and pistol permits are to purchase new firearms, but not to own. The other aspect is... with the latest anti-gun moves, quite frankly many gun owners in NJ simply don't care anymore. as @dajonga mentioned, having a pistol permit (usable) in the car is both a good and bad idea. Never know when a deal pops up, but you also have it burning a hole in your wallet. lol. For FID, some stores who may not know you, may ask for FID to even look at guns.
  8. Crazy... 40% off. wow. Usually that is what you get with the media cards they hand out at Shot Show.
  9. Promoting/pinning and sharing this. can I come watch? You are almost in my back yard. =P
  10. Shot Show 2020 is creeping up slowly and getting giddy! Registration opens up next month for Media and the Jersey crew this year seems to be about 15 people or so, i.e. forum + vendor/ffl + friends. As I did last year, if you are interested in attending let me know and can likely provide media credentials, and would really help if you actually have an interest on creating content at the show, be it articles, blog posts, videos, etc, or just want to help us with interviews, etc. Media access gets you free access to the show + access to the media lounge. Quick note... NO, I cannot get you passes to Media Day at the Range, especially if this is your first show as the limited number of passes I expect to get will be taken up by folks helping out. Created a group for Shot Show attendees, so feel free to join here if you are going. https://www.njgunforums.com/forum/index.php?/clubs/14-shot-show-2020/ Shot Show 2020 is the week of January 19th, in Las Vegas, NV
  11. That would be a NO! The gun is designed to be a weapon fired with two hands, implying a Vertical Grip and a pistol brace, as designed by the manufacturer. AFG? Not 100% sure on but generally everyone I spoke with from the Attorneys to manufacturers... swap out whatever you want, but needs to be a pistol brace + vertical fore grip. Nothing wrong with their bolts. =) They do the job they were specified for. As long as it is up to mil spec, will be fine. Will take more to clean it... but will run fine.
  12. Wait, you really can't register as a new member on RugerForum? Was RF one of the sites acquired by the Canadian conglomorate?
  13. What's the consensus? From here it seems to be that the transfer fee is on the buyer and generally their choice of their to transfer. There are a few posts I saw here where the seller offered to include transfer in their price but at their choice of FFL OR contribute a portion towards transfer.
  14. At the end of the day, there is only one reason... "You're limp wristing it." Really weird...
  15. As per the OP, he already replaced the gas block and a tube. Leading to improperly done hole... Humn, got access to a bore scope? My first thoughts were screwed up chamber causing issues with extraction but more and more agreeing with @Scorpio64 that someone botched the barrel job. And btw, for new folks... THIS IS WHY YOU TEST FIRE ANYTHING YOU BUY USED! But I have yet to see a barrel from a quality producer have issues... and well.. whoever sold it to you saying 40 rounds with "no problems" likely lied.
  16. Yes sir. Have everything on new server now but the newest version just does not seem to like it. Doing a clean install of it later tonight. If it does not work on here, will get a separate server on Amazon and run it there. Sorry guys and gals.
  17. Try 223 ammo instead? And whose barrel is it? Sure it is 223 wylde and not another variant? And the does it rack and extract fine otherwise?
  18. You can also try the Troy distributor's store in Phillipsburgh, Let them know you are from the forum. @TechOpsInternational
  19. And have you tried the upper on a known working lower with a known working BCG? How is the barrel cut? How does the brass look? Possible the chamber was cut poorly and holding up the brass? Does the gun fully cycle when you manually rack the bolt and then extract it?
  20. What kind of gas block? Adjustable or fixed? Is it on there properly? Does it cycle ANY rounds or short strokes every round? What kind of ammo?
  21. In what caliber? I did not even know they exist until @dajonga asked to have the Troy rep bring them to our GSSC meetup. The 300 blackout one did have a few issues due to cartridge size in the mag I think. They also had one in 338 Federal which seemed like a hoot to shoot though I did not try it.
  22. Had a chance to play with one. Very cool guns.
  23. Not sure of the quality of components going in to theirs BUT the Troy has had a price drop as far as I know. And no way in hell am I buying a Tactical Timmy oriented "SPECIAL OPS TACTICAL" firearm. <As seen on TV Voice> Have you always wanted to to have the same guns as the SPECIAL FORCES OPERATORS? If so, you can have this Special OPS AR-15... but wait... if you order now, we will upgrade you to the Special OPS TACTICAL version! The components look okay, but geez... the name is totally cringe worthy catered towards the Tactical Timmys.
