  1. Lots of variables here, trasit chest, matching scope bracket, numbered stock, FTR'd. Normally about 1500 without the scope, and with scope and all proper accessories nearing the 4k mark. Like I said way too many variables.
  2. Armor All and tung oil 50-50 mix works wonders......
  3. I went to a local auction yesterday and picked up a nice 1945 Berlin Luebecker G43 sniper. The gun is 100% matching but unfortunately someone put a coat of shellac on the stock and some of the smaller hardware, which i will take care of shortly. The scope is original and a Luftwaffe Fallschirmjäger for a FG-42, the mount is original and numbered to the gun. The bore is 100% mint and internals are nice and clean. I ordered a shooters kit for it and when it comes in, I will give a range report. Someone made a comment of "why would someone want a gun with swastikas on it......." I laughed and bid and got it for opening bid.

  8. Birch stains great with leather dye, many regular oil based wood stains leave birch looking splotchy. Nice gun
  9. The base on the barrel is for a Unertl type scope there should be one more further up the barrel, put a unert , litschert, or fecker scope on there and call it good.

  11. With a nice tight throat a crown refacing may do wonders for those readings
  12. newer guns arent investments, especially any thing polymer..... They are still injection molding them. Military from the world wars is the way to go, there are some excellent deals out there. Someone I know recently picked up a luger that was surrendered by SS Major Gustav Knittel to Michel Thomas and brought back with paperwork for $600.00. if you can find history or provinance it makes things more and more valuable. Because of Knittel's role in the Malmedy Massacre, and Thomas' role in counter intelligence, that pistol is absolutely priceless.
  13. I must be pretty darn close considering my shooting schedule
