leadunderpressure replied to papercutninja's topic in Ammunition & Reloading
Buy a mould. Cast until supply becomes available. Trade/buy from a hoarder. Wait. (I hate waiting) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD -
Anywhere between $260 and $500 a case of 500 rounds. The market is very unstable. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

While its not illegal to use a FA bolt in a semiauto gun, why invite trouble unless the price is awesome. Th bolt is slightly different which DOES increase the chance of the gun doubling as the sear wears and fails. LUP Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

any guys with CT ccw
leadunderpressure replied to mikeytapz13's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
CT is a may issue state but has an appeals process that makes it effectively shall issue. Most people get it without a problem. The downside is that they jacked the price of a ccw permit to nearly $200 each renewal now. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD -
If you go with the 9mm ar idea, know that there are two main designs and the parts don't interchange. Olympic puts the ejector in the upper receiver and uses either modified or custom magazines. Colt and RRA put the ejector's in the magazines and you need a mag well adapter in a standard AR or a custom lower. Either design works. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

how to get the AR parts you want or need....
leadunderpressure replied to intercooler's topic in AR Discussion
If you don't get gotta ave it right now itis. You can find what you need. Weapons guild is running a group buy for Bolt carriers. Gun broker has a ton of used and demilled at parts if you're willing to do some restoration work. Learn to scrounge a little and you'll do fine. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD -

Is .22 Short an obsolete round?
leadunderpressure replied to papercutninja's topic in Rimfire Pistols & Rifles
22short is legally mandated as the round to dispatch trapped animals in NJ. There's still tons of it around and will be for some time. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD -
Go buy The John Ross 500 S&W Xframe revolver. You'll love it. Don't let the political climate determine what you buy.

reloading 223 in a 9mm die plate
leadunderpressure replied to dave545's topic in Ammunition & Reloading
That shouldn't be any issue. The case heads are the same. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD -
The NY magazine restrictions are not in place until next month. You can go now if you wish. You can still jump the other border to PA and go to Heritage. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Cherry ridge doesn't have a range that's protected on multiple sides. (They shoud build one) Closest thing to IDPA is PPC at Cherry Ridge. That all same direction, with some barricade courses of fire. No move and shoot. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

nj's "system is down"?
leadunderpressure replied to 555wrx's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
What is the current legal status if you submit a NICS check and you don't get a response? Can you claim that you've received a delayed status and start the clock to release a firearm to the purchaser after three days? Do you need the delayed response and the transaction number to start the count? Does NJ even recognize this portion of the Federal check? LUP Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD -
Flying with Guns
leadunderpressure replied to OmniaMors's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
You forgot 1) Call your air carrier to get procedures specific to them prior to arriving at the airport. Some airlines are antigun (USA3000) and won't allow firearms to be checked at all. Some others add minor restrictions such as type of case it can be in. LUP -
I'm a big fan of the American Lock padlocks. They are tough. The best lock in the world however isn't going to delay someone bend on getting access or stealing the item more than 1 hour at best. Keep that in mind before you blow your wad on a $500 lock to protect a $100 item.

Local nut denied FPID
leadunderpressure replied to RAL1979's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
Tell me the type of guy Miranda was. Were his 5th amendment right not worth the same as anyone else's? (Miranda was a scumbag) Keyhoe is an activist who had routine runins with law enforcement and hunters. Under the current standard of who should get a FID, she should not be denied. Should we not also fight for those whom we otherwise disagree with because "it serves them right" Either civil rights are things that cannot be taken from anyone or we're just pretenders about 2A rights.
