Great news! I'm glad that everything worked out!

MedicYeti and I have similar stories...we just had our 6 year anniversary in November. I proposed 11 months after we first met on a blind date, and were married seven months later. After we got back from our honeymoon, it was the Christmas party season, and you know, she just looked so good that night...9 months later our first daughter. Two years later (Christmas party season again) she just looked so good that night...9 months later our second daughter. I've since converted to Judaism. Only joking. +1 on what Tim said. Fortunately my wife and I click so well that it's scary. She loves football, shooting, most of the same music (our wedding song was "Is this Love?" by Bob Marley) and she loves trucks. She's smart, beautiful, and a riot. Bottom line, my best friend (with benefits!) Oh yeah, and the mother of my two angels, who fortunately for them look just like her. Which is why Daddy has a shotgun for those dreaded teen years.

Now they'll support your gun rights to the very gates of hell...if you move to Texas or Nevada.

HAHAHA! Definitely! I had the butterflies once I saw the red 30lb. bag swinging below him. I've noticed that as I've gotten older, a new fear of heights, which I have never had, seems to be creeping into my subconscious. Great, THAT'S what I get for my mid-life crisis!

Hey Chris, out of curiousity, are there any good times to go, when it is NOT crowded? I'm a newbie, and I'd rather practice without some veterans mocking me from down the line.

And I can't stand when people post "bump!" "bumpity bump!" "Bumpilicious!" etc. just to get to 4,000 posts.

I'm on one or two other forums, and pretty much have the same view as to my participation. I am new to firearms, and am a civilian, so when questions get asked, and answered, concerning firearms, I sit back and absorb. When it comes to politics, I'll put my two-cents in. I was a history major/poli-sci minor in college, I teach social studies, and I act like Glenn Beck when I've had a few adult beverages. That's why you'll find my posts mainly on the politics pages, and an occasional "Ooooh!" on the Chicks with Guns forum!

I'm not too sure about the Philly area, but you're still looking at a suburb of a major city. Prices may reflect that. If you're willing to move a bit further west, you can probably find all you are looking for, and more, for what you're willing to pay if you head closer to Harrisburg. It has an airport, and is pretty close (from NE Jersey it's about 3 hrs). Plus it's very close to the Hamburg Cabela's! You also have the added benefit of a relatively short drive to Philly, D.C., and Baltimore. You may have to get used to the smell of farm manure outside of the city though! You do get used to it, I can tell you from experience. I lived for 4 years in Gettysburg, about 30-45 minutes south of Harrisburg when I was in college.

Congratulations MaidenEddie! My older daughter turned 5 yesterday (9/1) and the other daughter turns 3 on 9/12. Life changing events, to say the least! And no, I wouldn't trade either one of them for a son! Well, not today, at least...
