  1. Bad enough I always get stuck walking to work behind someone blabbing away on their cell phone. But when the person is having their public conversation on speakerphone and/or FaceTime, it adds a whole new level of douchery into the mix...
  2. Although somewhere in the middle of this sea of clueless comments, someone had made a very good point: "If the state’s documented position about these 3D guns is that “this creates an imminent risk to its citizens” are they also stating that justifiable need now exists for my CCW permit when these plans are allowed to be published? Watch how quick they shift to “this is a 1A issue and doesn’t mean 3D guns are rampant or an issue in this state” when that claim is made on a CCW application."
  3. Problem is we also have to shift the balance of power in the Legislature to even introduce (let alone pass) pro-2A bills (or, at a minimum, reversal of this crap) - which at the moment seems like a huge hurdle to overcome. Especially given the fact that the same Ds get elected cycle after cycle after f'n cycle in my district...
  4. Reminds me of an old Steven Wright bit... So my wife turns and says to me, "If you could know how and when you were going to die, would you want to know?" I said, "No." She said, "Forget it then....."
  5. Seems that it is some form of public housing... Christie Administration Marks Grand Opening of Richardson Lofts in Newark Buried in the press release is the following: Considering that the OP's screenshot of the note references "RPM's General Counsel", this sounds like a lot of grandstanding from another holier-than-thou business injecting their anti-2A opinion. Not to mention that according to the facility's actual rental page, pets are not allowed. Double screw them...
  6. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't 2C supersede any BS township ordinances concerning 2A?? See below article... Piscataway gun ordinance would ban sales in sensitive areas
  7. Been laughing since 2013 - remember during those committee hearings when Lou Douchewald proposed the idea of a "magazine buyback"... to the tune of $5 per magazine?? What a schmuck.
  8. Morris County generally leans R. But can’t speak much of the country club set - I’ll let you know when I can finally afford to pay those membership dues..... maybe when I’m 90.
  9. I just caught that myself - I wonder whether now I’ll have to formally amend my will to contain a specific bequest....
  10. More importantly, I wonder who is funding their field trip up here. Follow the money.......
  11. That’s what that David Pigg/Hogg/whatever kid kept broadcasting in all 746 of his television interviews - either “with the children” or not BS. My thoughts:
  12. Not to mention that I recall reading somewhere once (wish I remembered where, exactly) that the negative side effects of SSRIs are worse when under a certain age (25, perhaps?) due to the still-physical development of the brain at that age. The age range of these high-profile killers (I refuse to use the term “shooter” in this context) found to be taking these drugs all seem to fall within that dangerous side-effect spectrum...
  13. Furthermore, weren't all the nonsensical laws from 1991 supposed to have made the public safer back then? /sarcasm
  14. This one is in my district - believe me, I tried. Every two years for that matter. She hasn't worked a day in the private sector in her life, according to her bio. The sad thing is that I experienced first-hand the mentality of the majority of her/my fellow constituents this past Election Day. Good ol' Dick Codey was outside the train station that morning, along with two other underlings, pushing the "Don't forget to vote [Democrat] today!" nonsense - with some reference to "blue" in the follow-up. Some woman fell for it, and says, "Oh of COURSE NOT! Ya know, we gotta stop this REGIIIIIME!!!" So my brain starts processing what came from this woman's mouth: 1) "REGIIIIME!!" -- surely she doesn't mean the Democrat stronghold on the Legislature for the past 25+ years..... 2) You're a mindless idiot who believes everything you see on television 3) If the final election was God (R) vs. Satan (D), she'd take the latter... simply because of the "D" 4) Go back to #2 5) Put down your damn iPhone and/or Facebook and pay some *real* attention to what's been going on in the district (as well as the state) to make more informed decisions 6) Go back to #2 I've wanted her out ever since she co-sponsored the bill to ban internet ammo sales back in 2013, both her and her running-mate (our town's former mayor).
  15. I was thinking the same exact thing... plus, I'd have expected she was protected under FOPA as well re: transportation
  16. I think I know what you are talking about - IIRC, the "young guy" in question was an assemblyman from Hudson County who had absolutely no clue how the current laws work. I want to say that this was sometime back in 2013, during that onslaught of anti-this and banning-that bills being pushed. I remember watching this at work and wanting to put something through my monitor whenever the young guy spoke...
  17. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss - it always pains me when I think about how their time with us is so limited...
  18. Still can't help my blood boiling over this crap
  19. Turkey Neck doesn't quit.... never let a good crisis go to waste, eh Loretta? http://www.nj.com/politics/index.ssf/2016/06/breaking_nj_dem_lawmakers_seek_to_limit_magazines.html (mods, please move to appropriate section, if necessary)
  20. Voted. A moot point here in Essex County with Jasey and McKeon getting back in... Maybe I'll have better luck with the Mega Millions this week.
  21. Listening to Assemblywoman Mosquera's intro to this nonsense now. My eyes can't roll back into my head far enough...
