I think this is a good start for Seattle. If only this had been in place in Colorado before James Holmes went on his rampage that additional $31 dollars in tax revenue would have prevented that tragedy. I think they should pass a law requiring Gun Free Zone notifications to be done in neon, or at least in a size 48 font, laminated, on sturdy card stock. Further more I think they should really review their CCW permitting process. It is entirely too easy for felons to get their permit. It only cost $50.75, AND the wait time is 30 days. Perhaps if they raised the price to $57.25 and made the wait 32 days there would be less gun violence by prohibited persons. Sheesh, you think as the home of Microsoft, Starbucks, and the Sea Hawks they would have their ish together. So disappointed in them.

Force on force training, and empty hand technique sparring can really put you in touch with your skill level and gear appropriateness very fast.

I had one for a few years. I was a nice rifle, fun to shoot, but heavy. At the time these were very few ¨upgrades,¨ not that it needed them really. After shooting at a few training's I grew to dislike the side charging handle of the Sig, and the nearly extra two pounds. Fun range toy, but I sold it to build two ARs.

I've been in this situation twice with two different friends sending me pictures from vacation in gun friendly states. I commented, "Cool rifle/smg. Crap trigger discipline." One acknowledged their bad form, and the other asked what 'trigger discipline was' which opened the door for their enlightenment. This has worked for me after the fact. In the moment at the range I've said, "your behavior is endangering you, me, and everyone around us. Don't be that guy."
