I have and like both. Don't have any metal ones yet but will be getting some soon. You can't knock the Cabelas cans when they come free with ammo purchases. They also stack nice.

I have been pretty lucky with CL. I have traded and sold on it. I also give away stuff that my kids don't use anymore, better then going in the garbage. Good point on meeting at the police department parking lot. I have made a separate Gmail account just for my CL stuff. Keeps the spam another layer away from me. Mosin Fan how are you doing with the MP15? I am in the same boat now (shopping) and this one is on my list. New to ARs as well. Considered purchasing a fully built while getting comfortable with them and moving to a home made later.

Thanks for the reminder Pizza Bob! I can only comment on my pistol. It is a 7" model and I have had some issues with it but I know what it likes now. It eats Federal Bulk with no problems and likes lite oiling. I have been using it at the OBRPC Bullseye 900 league now for a month and change. 270 rounds a week on monday with a couple PPC events (120 or 180 rounds). In the last month I had two issues. One was a mag not loading into the pistol. I found out that the plastic on the bottom of the mag can come out of adjustment and will not load unless you give it a slight slap. I adjusted it back and it is fine. The other issue was my fault. I didn't snap the spring back after loading my rounds so I had a fail to feed. I have other pistols and really dig the 22a. I wouldn't mind getting a more popular 22 in the future but for now I am pretty happy.

NICE! I think I am going to go for this pistol. It's a shame you can only get the magazines thru S&W. I have a 22a and getting the magazines from resellers can save me $7 per magazine.

Frank N Terry you are more than welcome to borrow a magazine from me if it helps. I have 5 for my 22A. I should have more by next month. I had a great time tonight. Just got in a little while ago. I was in relays 7,8 and 10. I can say that hanging out is a great. It was my second time there now and I have more than a few people to shoot the **** with and go out for dinner. I was happy with my .22 scores but need to shoot more 9mm. I might put some paperwork in to get the M&P in .22 so I can get used to that grip again. Can't wait for next month! -Stanley

I got my paperwork filled out and became a full member last meeting. I enjoy the club. I haven't even shot in the outdoor yet. I shoot at the bullseye league. I should be there tomorrow night. I'm working towards more "action" shooting in the future.

I went to my first PPC event last night. I had a great time. Yes there was some waiting but I am used to that with any sport I have done. Autox, track days, drag you always have to wait for your class to run before you get out and have your fun. I am adding this to the bullseye shooting that they offer. They are both fun. Can't wait to try some more of the action sports and steel. Was anyone else there last night? I shot in the 6th and 7th relays.

Alec if you want to try the pro in .45 give me a buzz and we can meet up at OBRPC. I haven't shot many different pistols but I like the S&W 1911.

I finally made time to start filling my probational event sheet out. I shot bullseye last monday and had a blast. I like the range and it is damn close to my house. Can't beat that.

I got my S&W 9pro at Shore Shot. Came with two 10rd magazines. It was a pretty straight forward purchase.

I will be going there as well! See you there. I wish I had time to get this going earlier.

The discount will be applied to the less expensive ammo. I purchased a box of .38 for 39.99 and got a box of 9mm for 14.99 (got it down to 4.99 after a using a card club coupon).

Hey JonF I own the S&W 9mm pro in 5 inch (SKU 178010) and got it at Shore Shot. It came with two 10 round magazines. Give them a buzz. I was in the same boat as you and tried to get a 15 round mag package. I wasn't able to but I did order magazines from G&R later. It is a fun pistol. Good luck with your purchase. -Stanley

Tony is a really cool dude and so is his buddy Jeff. I was happy with my purchase and it was nice to meet everyone there. I could have hung out for a lot longer but had to run. I did come home with: There were others in with different stocks in different hues. This is the one that jumped out at me. I can't wait to clean it up and get to the range with it. Well worth the drive. I only killed a quarter tank. Thanks again Tony!
