  1. I had wanted a S&W 686 with a 6" barrel and had also considered a 586. I've shot my buddies' 4" 686 a couple times, but handled a used Model 19 with a 6" barrel today and think I may just buy it. I'm actually doing some research on them right now.
  2. I'm seriously considering the New Remington R1. Looks like it would make a great first 1911 and is getting good reviews.
  3. I don't see it on the calendar, but I may be going.
  4. I have the MOE hand-guard and have a rail on the bottom with a bi-pod adapter and an extend-able bi-pod. I must have lucked out as I don't have the side to side play on my S&W. B)
  5. I feel Bad-a**. I liked the eyes and ears!
  6. Don't forget Black. Edit: What about Hoodies? or Long Sleeve T's?
  7. Plus by the time you pay for shipping and FFL fees you could have bought one at a gun show or elsewhere locally for the same price or better.
  8. I haven't gone out for bow since I was a teenager or about 12 to 13 years ago. My dad is now interested in maybe getting a crossbow. I'll probably get my s**t together next year and give bow another shot. Good luck tomorrow.
  9. One day when I get around to getting FL non-resident carry permit this is one of my strong considerations for carry. I've never shot a snubbie before though. Will have to try one before I buy. Was thinking about getting one with the Crimson Trace laser grip. How accurate are snubbies? Figured most shots if necessary would be at close range.
  10. +1 Definitely stay away from the big box stores. The quality is not the same and that is why their stuff is sold at discounted "big box store" prices. You don't find Stihl equipment at these stores for this reason. I personally love Stihl and over the years have run several chainsaws as well as hedge trimmers and string trimmers. Some other good brands include: Jonsered http://www.usa.jonsered.com/node246.aspx Dolmar http://www.dolmarpowerproducts.com/ Check out http://www.arboristsite.com/ it's a forum dealing with all things relating to trees. They have a Specific sub-forum for Chainsaws too.http://www.arboristsite.com/forumdisplay.php?s=dd09d4056f8f9bd05277c32056934110&f=9 I usually check out the Firewood, Heating and Wood Burning Equipment forum. http://www.arboristsite.com/forumdisplay.php?s=dd09d4056f8f9bd05277c32056934110&f=55
  11. Well that sucks.... or maybe not, since they suck.
  12. Wow! What a great season opener. This season looks like it's going to be awesome.
  13. Sons of Anarchy Season 3 Starts now on FX! Pretty much my all time favorite show. http://www.fxnetworks.com/shows/originals/soa/
  14. It looked like it could have had potential. The trailers showed a decent amount of gun action, but I'm not surprised about the lack of story. Machete looks like it has potential. x8rslIZV85U&feature=related
  15. Good work! That's a nice pile of bucked up logs. Personally the splitting and stacking for me is the hard part. Cutting down the trees and bucking up the logs is the fun part. I heat my house with a wood-burning insert in the fireplace and last year built a wood shed to store the firewood. Never tried the dremel way of sharpening, I always did it by hand. Then last year I brought about 8 chains to be "professionally" sharpened. Happiness really is a sharp chain when it comes to doing a lot of cutting!
  16. I gotta admit that's pretty damn cool!
  17. Follow-up Range Report http://forums.1911forum.com/showthread.php?t=275568 Another Thread http://forums.1911forum.com/showthread.php?t=281136 Has anybody shot one yet? It really does seem to be a good gun for the money. I'm pretty sure that I will pick one up.
  18. I was wondering what was up with the overalls. Looks like fun!
