    Where to buy

What are you looking for. I work behind the counter at the dicks in east brunswick. We have everything but powder. We got a shipment of 209 primers in the other day which was a huge surprise to me.

    C&R

Nope NJ does not recognize it as an FFL
  3. The set that has misplaced itself was a lab set from Squibb in New Brunswickand was really nice - I just need a set to double check some brass that may need to be trimmed
  4. So long story short I lost my calipers somewhere in the house and need to replace them quickly so In looking to get a pair locally.I called Cheyenne and they don't have them in stock nor does AC Moore or Staples. Any suggestions from the masses?

    111

It does at shoreshot, which is in an UEZ.
  6. Im surprised they are replacing your spring on the gen4 23. The issue was, as I understood it, that they were putting the g23 springs into the g19 causing the g19 to stovepipe and jam because of excessive spring force. Since you started out with on of the g23's im surprised they opted to replace your recoil assembly.
  7. You dont need a safety course in NJ, nor is there a waiting period unless you get held up by your NICS check. The day it comes in you can go pick it up, it shouldn't take longer than a half hour if the state police cooperate.
  8. I dont believe so. Im a member and Ive never heard of that being the case.
  9. The stock trigger is heavy like all safe actions, but relatively crisp and clean. APEX makes a competition kit that is fantastic, and an aftermarket part that gives you a much more noticeable reset point. I havent shot it yet, but they have a new trigger replacement that is supposed to mirror the trigger qualities of a highly tuned 1911.
  10. My dad has 85% loss in one ear with ringing severe enough that it actually distracts him from his day to day activities. He has been going the past few months to get his eardrum punctured to relieve the pressure and he tells me every time he knows im going to shoot to not fugg around with my hearing because you never know the problem not having it is until its gone. Now i double bag it inside and out with pluggs under electronic muffs. I can still hear range commands but muzzle report is nearly non existant.
  11. This is just plain wrong. Recoil forces are generated the instant pressure builds. Equal and opposite reactions are instantaneous.
  12. Im not sure if I like it yet. Yeah the marshall's gun and the winchesters were cool, but Im not sure if I think the wife, daughter, and HUGE bar in the gun shop are sending the right message. Ill watch a couple more with an open mind to see if I like it.
  13. Im sure if you talked to either them, OB, CJ, or CR someone would be willing to help. God knows we have enough people on here that are members there.
  14. They are much more concerned if you are safe with the firearms than if you are good and can produce results. You dont even need to break the clay targets to be certified in shotgun as long as you are safe. On the rifle topic- I would not bring my own. They single load all of the cartridges, so you have absolutely no benefit from using a magazine fed rifle. Couple this with the fact that they always want your action open, and the 10/22 has no last shot hold open feature from the factory, and I would definitely not bring it.
  15. Cameras at private ranges are nothing new. Look at old bridge. As a member Im fine with it, and they even tell you at orientation that if you do something stupid you will be caught and punished, the tapes are monitored. Recently they had one of the exterior cameras stolen off the side of the building. Now the replacement camera and some of the others are hooked into into a nice screen so you can see exactly whats going on out in the parking lot, before you walk out to your car holding something that would be EXTREMELY attraction to a criminal. The cameras can work in your favor too.
  16. It all depends on what you want to do. If you start to get into serious action shooting you are going to want a .40 or .45 because you'll want major power factor for the scoring break. 9mm and 22 will be the cheapest to feed, but 9mm and .40 are not that far apart in price. More important than the caliber is going to be how the particular gun shoots for you. When you find what you shoot best you might also find that you are somewhat limited by that calibers are available on that platform.
  17. If the length of pull is comfortable and all you need is more eye relief look into a P.E.P.R. mount or something like it. It lifts the scope up and away from your face. 2 inches forwards as per the specs
  18. Thats the Georgia Arms stuff right? Ive seen both positive and negative reviews just like everything else. You need to go into it that its a reload and be cautious. I make it a practice to not shoot random reloads or rounds that are laying around on the range, call me a sissy. When I first got into shooting I was told that the gun is going to be the inexpensive part of the equation with ammo being much more money. You need to ask yourself if its worth your safety and your $$$ hardware to save a few bucks. I load my own ammo to specs that are almost absurdly anal retentive, but I know exactly what im shooting when I pull the trigger.
  19. I have a HTC Thunderbolt and like it, but the battery life could be better. It helps to turn off 4g, wireless, and bluetooth, but it still is a power hog. On the plus side, it has a removable battery, which is one thing I worry about with the iphone. If my battery fries from being charged too many times its an easy fix, iphone not so much.
  20. I feel strongly about charity, and kids charity all the more. I have a friend who was diagnosed with cancer a few days after we graduated high school in 2007. Seeing it effect someone my age who was always a strong athletic guy really showed me how lucky I have it. I don't think that anyone want to be away from their family around christmas, much less a child, much less a sick child. I figure that if those presents get to kids in need, it could make the kid a little happier, and might help take the pressure off a parent who is already in a situation I couldn't even imagine myself in.

    AR15 build

Make sure when you are drilling you are actually going into the little tracks on the bottom of the buffer tube and not into the tube itself. A buddy of mine made this mistake building his lower and then spent an hour figuring out why the bolt carrier group wouldn't retract.
