  1. I'm in. Will be first time shooting my new Sig 226. Just got holster and mags today.
  2. I shoot a SW Pro 9mm in single stack USPSA, and do reload my own ammo for it. It likes 124 HP's, and I did have to dremel my wilson mags for it to be reliable. I had a problem with rounds nose-diving and jamming into the front lip of the mag. Some folks don't need to, but seems I had a batch that required me to grind/polish them a tad. The added bonus for me is cheap brass, so I don't have to chase brass at matches. I don't feel guilty leaving it on the ground. Its my favorite gun to shoot out of my handguns.
  3. It will not make it out of the current NJ LPS committee , unless forced to by the courts. NJ will never willingly pass fair and "common sense" CCW laws without kicking and screaming all the way.
  4. Yup, I have already written to the members of the Law and Public Safety committee last year about this. Not like it matters since they are 99% rabid anti-gun/freedom/liberty/2A, etc. It will sit and rot there as far as they are concerned. The only time this may see daylight is if we win our pending case with the final level of the federal court of appeals, and NJ is forced to enact a fair CCW law within a certain time frame. Similar to what is happening in Illinois right now.
  5. When you speak up and the govt doesn't like what you are saying, you get slapped as an "extremist" and sometimes with a sprinkle of "terroristic". Then you get arrested with BS charges and have your rights trampled on. Now the fun begins as she has to now drain her back account to even begin to escape the clutches of the system. This story demonstrates that everything is working according to plan. Added bonus is folks reading this story will think twice about speaking up themselves.
  6. Infinity and Subaru driver here. Can't go wrong with either. You can wrench on both yourself, and any mechanic can work on either. Other friends have had BMW's and Audi's... they all said, unless you have a warranty, don't bother. This is from someone who owns a premium BMW motorcycle, and who wants a M3/M3 as an attainable dream car. Just have to know it will cost $$.
  7. Ammo will be sold like guns. People will order $500-$1000 at a time in bulk, shipped to FFL, picked up and pay the FFL/dealer a fee for the transaction. That is unless local shops get on the ball and stock up in bulk on good ammo at good prices. I wish Costco got into the ammo biz....
  8. Do what NJ wants you to do. Turn yourself in to the PD, go to prison like a good citizen. All joking aside, as others said, I'd make them "permanently" modified to only hold 15 rounds, or return them.
  9. As many already said, they are going after semi-automatic rifles because they know a handgun ban would fail. It is easy to slap the "assault" word in front of anything that cosmetically resembles guns used by the military. The "assault" term is designed to confused those of the public who are apathetic, or uneducated when it comes to firearms. It is designed to sway those people into supporting bans and over-regulation on semi-automatic rifles. It is a massive misinformation scam that goes all the way up to Obama. Quotes like "weapons of war" , "assault rifles", "assault magazines", ... all misinformation to confuse the public at large into agreeing with them. If they get their ban, they will not stop there. They will patiently wait for another opportunity to ban the next class of firearms. Handguns, shotguns, whatever. Nothing regarding all of the current gun control bills and efforts floating around today involves sane thought, it is all around emotions and propaganda.
  10. That's fine, just be honest with yourself and don't say "I really want to put Remington on my shit list" when you basically say that you never will unless it becomes fiscally agreeable with you. As for me, I'm not sure what I would do. I haven't decided on a Rem boycott as of yet, but rest assured if I do agree to start it, I would go out of my way to not succumb to $$'s when the opportunity strikes. I'd at that point pay the $$, not go shooting, or shoot another caliber that I can get more inexpensively.
  11. So you're priorities are monetarily motivated just like Remington's are.
  12. Typical anti-gunner elitist attitude. "I don't want anyone else to have them but me"
  13. Nab a Waffen Werks 5.45 based on the bulgarian kits. They use Nodak and now their own stamped receivers along with Tapco FCG's. I'm very happy with them. Give MTN Armory a call when it comes to perm blocked to 15 mags. Don't go by their website, it seems their web ordering system has been broken for sometime.
  14. I began feeling physically ill while watching the vid. Their favorite words are "common sense" and "loop holes". In other words, anything that attempts to protect the 2nd amendment and our rights is a "loop hole", any regulation that allows gun ownership other then revolvers and single shot shotguns a "loophole", and anything that goes against their plan to disarm law abiding folks, not "common sense".
  15. I highly doubt that Norton is targeting gun sites in order to purposefully slow them down, fairly misleading. I'm not going to argue over which PC protection software is better then another as that I have learned is akin to having a religious argument with folks these days, go with whatever makes ya sleep better at night.
  16. If the dude was tweaked out or shady looking, I would call the police. Otherwise, I would mind my own business and carry on. Chances are very high he is either an out of state LEO, federal agent of some sort (tons of them can carry guns, like the FDA, Mail Inspectors, NRC, etc), or an ignorant good-guy gun owner that is unaware that he has traveled into a US Constitution Bill of Rights suspension zone.
  17. That would work, let this guy's case be the challenge, to demonstrate that NJ's laws are illegal and unconstitutional.
  18. I agree, but the way to help him and us are to fight to have unconstitutional laws ripped off the books by the Judicial system. I wish there was punishment and consequences for politicians that pass unconstitutional laws.
  19. NJ.com is reporting: http://www.nj.com/jjournal-news/index.ssf/2013/01/jersey_city_police_say_man_had.html Bayo lug and threaded barrel on the AR. Then the 30 round "normal" capacity mags which NJ deems illegal.... not looking good if this is true. In 90% of the rest of this country, this would be a non-issue, but here in wonderful NJ, things are different. Hopefully the cops are being optimistic, and the bayo lug is actually ground down, muzzle brake pinned, and the 30 round mag is actually a permanently altered 30/15. We'll see.
  20. Good times indeed. I can't believe that I let the star go nightmare mode on me, of course adding in a jam for fun as well, doh!
  21. This is looking more and more like a law abiding gun owner with a NJ neutered AR being jammed up by the police. If they ROR'd him without bail, I highly doubt they have a case here. If it was an illegal handgun and NJ defined so-called "assault rifle" , he would be looking at nearly 20 years mandatory. I would think that would constitute someone being a "flight risk" and having a huge bail set.
